The Big Boy loco is the reason I wanted to come to Cheyenne, Wyoming. This is a Big Boy 4-8-8-4 loco 4004, one of the 25, the largest ever constructed. When I came through in July 1979 there was a Challenger 4-6-6-4 3985 parked about 200 metres down from the Wyoming Depot Station. That one has gone. This one is in a park about a mile up the road and has been there since 1963.
